Farnham & District Ramblers offers an all-year-round programme of walks in the beautiful Surrey Hills, North East Hampshire, and South Downs National Park.
We will walk across the common, around the back of the airport (including some old airport runway), then on to the Castle Bottom nature reserve and we will do our best to avoid the metal recycling plant. We will hopefully see plenty of bird life and possibly the odd light aircraft. There are a couple of short ascents, but no stiles. There will be some avoidable mud, but also some unavoidable mud.
Possible refreshments available at the Cricketers PH after the walk. Dogs on leads welcome.
Yateley Common Wyndham’s Pool Car Park, off Cricket Hill Lane. This is a small car park so car sharing would be helpful, if possible. Should the car park be full when you arrive there is the option of car parking at the Cricketers PH, on Cricket Hill Lane (GU46 6BA). OS Map X145.
