Starting in Nomansland, just south of Wheathampstead, we head east across country to Symondshyde Great Wood, a beautiful pine forest. Then we head west along the Hertfordshire Way before turning into Heartwood Forest. Here we visit Langley Wood, one of the outstanding sites for Bluebells in Hertfordshire before making our way through the Forest back to Nomansland.
As the Bluebells can be very dense and, with backdrop of the ancient woodland, very picturesque, do not forget your camera!
There is a free car park at the start of this walk.
There are various pubs and cafes in Wheathamstead and the surrounding area.
