Overview

This is the same walk which was cancelled due to storm Eowyn earlier this year.
The walk will commence at the National Trust for Scotland Burns Birthplace Museum . It is an easy 6 mile walk on hard surface paths with no inclines. We follow the footpath through the tunnel under the road where we can enjoy the Burns Heritage Mural  then on to a seating area where we will take a break and on towards Green Castle.  It will be high tide so the route will continue on the path to the River Doon and follow the river to Bellisle park. Unfortunately the conservatory is closed at the moment for renovation. We return across the golf course then along pavements passing Burns Cottage, along the poets path and finish with a walk round the Auld Kirk, Brig O’Doon and gardens to the visitor centre where there is a good coffee shop .
