Overview

From Tring Station we soon ascend the wooded scarp slope into Ashridge beechwoods passing through Copse Woods to the Visitor centre for a short toilet stop. Then explore parts of Ashridge Park, crossing the golf course to Little Gaddesden for our picnic lunch with a visit to 'The Bridgewater Arms' pub for drinks/toilets. Continue via Ringshall, exploring Crawley Wood and Dockey Wood, well known for their fine array of bluebells. Then head south through the forest spotting more bluebells on the way to the visitor centre for our tea stop. Lastly, the descent through scenic Albury and across fields will bring us back to Tring Station. A mostly flat, or gently undulating walk with one steep ascent. Some muddy woodland tracks after rain.
