Overview

B WALK DESCRIPTION: The walk starts at the village of Ribbesford near Bewdley and follows the undulating Worcestershire Way path south-westerly passing Ribbesford’s interesting little church initially as we ascend the path firstly through woodland.  Our route is over attractive farming countryside with good views.  Beyond the hamlet of Heightington our path turns north picking up good field tracks with more good views.  It’s a good area to enjoy our picnic lunches with the prospect of a break for drinks at Bewdley later in the walk. We arrive at Bewdley walking along some of the town’s interesting streets with their pleasing mix of medieval and later buildings and we take a short drinks break here. The final part of the walk takes in the riverside path headed back towards Ribbesford from where we started and our waiting coach. Walk distance: 10 miles, Total ascent: 1400 feet. Picnic lunch  Leader Brenda Cameron.
