Enjoy the expansive views from the top of Blanchland Moor in this walk that takes us over War Law.
Our route starts with a climb up through woods from Blanchland to Shildon. From here we climb up across moorland on Pennypie Fell to join the route of A Pennine Journey north to a track across access land towards War Law. Warlaw Pike is reached via a narrow trod through heather (worth it to get the 360 degree views!).
Returning across rough ground to the track, we follow the Carrier's Way over Bulbeck Common to Blackburnhead before returning across Reeding Edge to Baybridge and the river Derwent.
Mainly narrow or heathery moorland paths and tracks.
