This is a 4-mile varied walk through Burnham Beeches ancient woodland.
The pace will be easy, there are no stiles and it is mostly on good paths with some short inclines. It is a great walk for new members and people who are getting back into walking after a break as the walk can be shortened to 2 miles. Come and discover the ancient beech Pollards in this internationally important place for conservation and wildlife!
When we return to the starting point by the visitor centre, we will join the 7 mile group of ramblers for our annual Bring & Share picnic lunch. Bring a plate of food to share with the other ramblers and a chair or rug to sit on. You can buy a drink from the Kiosk or bring your own. If you would like some guidance on what to bring contact Chris/ Heather at windsoranddistrictramblers@gmail.com.
