Overview

C WALK DESCRIPTION: 7.5 miles with 550 ft of climbing. Linear walk starting just North of Lount on B587. The walk goes across fields, then descends to a road bridge at the edge of Staunton Harold Reservoir.  From there we go into the grounds of Calke Abbey.  Then head off South-East towards the finish of the walk via Staunton Harold craft centre, where there is a coffee shop.  From the craft centre we meander through Lount Wood, part of the National Forest, to finish at the Ferrers Arms pub in the village of Lount.
