We walk from Castle Cary station up to the town centre, and then climb up to Lodge Hill for fine views overlooking Castle Cary and the surrounding area. We continue past the Millennium beacon, and then head back down to the South Cary area. We link up with part of the Macmillan Way and cross over the River Cary and head back towards the town centre, and picking up the route back to the station. The route will cover good footpaths, plus some potentially muddy fields, particularly after rain.
