This is a mostly flat walk of about 5.2 miles with a couple of short, steep hills.
Parking is near to the Visitor Centre.
From the car park we walk back to the entrance of the Country Park and then along the road to join the Leek branch of the Caldon Canal where the tow path is part of the Churnet Way. We continue to follow the Churnet Way on the edge of Leek to and then through Ladderedge Country Park. From here it's to the A53 taking care on this short stretch before picking up paths again across fields which run along the side of Holinhay Woods and back to the Visitor Centre.
Please bring a drink for a mid walk break.
Our parking area is next to the reservoir which is a beautiful spot for a picnic lunch at the end of the walk.
