A linear walk along the mainly flat Rodwell trail, and after Ferrybridge along the coastal path, following what was the Weymouth to Portland railway line, passing two of Henry VIII's castles enroute to Portland.
Return from Portland to Weymouth by bus with time to enjoy the delights of a seaside town in August, or linger longer on Portland and visit the popular 18th century Cove House Inn, Cheswell, before catching the bus back to Weymouth
