We are the Isle of Wight Ramblers. We arrange walks, monitor paths and help our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

This walk has been instigated and inspired by Martin from the mid-Sussex Ramblers, who some of you may recall kindly ran a mainland walk for us in the New Year.
This is a "Save the Date" entry so please do come back nearer the time for more information.
But the rough plan is a full day event, a roughly ten mile circular walk with a lunch stop. Starting from the top of Culver cliff (Bembridge Down), down via Brading marshes, and on to St Helens. From there taking the coast path across the causeway, around the harbour, and Bembridge. Stopping at Whitecliff Bay for an (entirely optional) swim and/or drink, to cool off towards the end of the walk, then going back up the coastal path from Whitecliff to the car park on top of Culver.
It is also tentatively suggested we have, for those who wish, a beach (or non-beach) bbq , or a pub visit (the Culver Haven) after our walk/swim, but the details / logistics /timings are not yet decided - so please do check back !
Depending on the weather, consider suitable clothing, footwear, walking stick, sun cream, drinks, and food. Watch out for ticks and remove ASAP. If you are unsure about your ability to undertake this walk, please contact the walks leader. If you need to leave the walking group, please ensure you inform the leader or back marker
There are some sections of road walking, so please walk in single file and take good care.

If you are new to the Ramblers you can just turn up for any of our walks, unless we specify otherwise. We invite you to come along for three walks as a non-member.
