Overview

You are invited to join me to check the Walk the Wight Route and report any problems found. This is stage 3 of four walks in April.

This is a linear walk with a lunch stop. We go over St George’s Down to Carisbrooke Priory, then follow a quiet route into the centre of Newport. The No 8 bus runs between Newport and Arreton. I aim to catch the 1.40pm bus from Newport bus station back to Arreton Barns where my car will be parked.

Watch out for ticks and remove ASAP. If you are unsure about your ability to undertake this walk, please contact the walks leader. If you need to leave the walking group, please ensure you inform the leader or back marker.

Please note that there may be short sections of road walking, so please walk in a single file and take good care.
