Overview

A circular walk from Hexton through arguably two of the most picturesque nature reserves in Hertfordshire of Pegsdon Hills and Barton HIlls Nature Reserve. Starting from Hexton we first climb up through Pegsdon Hills. (Not forgetting to stop frequently and admire the views!). At the top we leave the reserve and follow the Icknield Way west until we meet the John Bunyan Trail / Chiltern Way.  We then head north until we enter the Barton Hills Nature Reserve. Although we descend through the reserve it is still worth stopping frequently to admire the amazing views. We return to the start via Barton- le-Clay and the John Bunyan Trail.
