Overview

Those coming from or via Tavistock may need to come via Whitchurch Down because part of the B3357 near Tavistock is likely to be closed.
This walk takes in some local favourites near Tavistock. We start at Pork Hill car park and contour round Cox Tor before heading towards Stephen’s Grave where we’ll stop for coffee. We come back through the Combe near Peter Tavy with woodland shade and the lovely sound of running water alongside the brook. With luck there will be an ice cream van at the end!

Moorland walking with mostly tracks and paths and a small stream crossing. There are ups and downs, including a descent down to the brook and steepish ascent up to Great Combe Tor. May be wet underfoot in places after rain, but was mostly dry on recce.
You may want to bring a drink for our stop for coffee.

Please book by sending a text to the walk leader. Please do not email.
