This scenic linear walk will take us from Craven Arms, and down the Shropshire Way finishing in the pretty medieval town of Ludlow (returning by train).
The route will head from Craven Arms, passing by Stokesay Castle (the best-preserved fortified medieval manor house in England).
After a short ascent through Stoke Wood, the route then descends via Aldon Gutter. We'll then head across fields to pretty Bromfield, with it's Church and gatehouse. We'll head into Ludlow via the delightful medieval bridge at Dinham before finishing in the centre of Ludlow at the Buttercross, where this stage of the Shropshire Way finishes.
We'll then be getting the train back from Ludlow to the cars at Craven Arms (10 minutes).
