A walking group for young people in the Shropshire area. We have walks on most weekends, mid-week in the summer as well as socials and weekends away too.

Join us as we embark on a challenge to complete the 870 mile Wales Coastal Path! It may take a while and we're on no timeline. This will be the second walk in the series where we'll complete the Flint to Talacre section.
This will be a delightful easy walk alongside the widening Dee Estuary, ending at Talacre with its wide beach and iconic lighthouse. But we do have another option for this walk, depending on how the group is feeling on the day. The initial plan will be to take the train to Flint, walk to Talacre - and as there is no train at Talacre, we'll take a short 10 minute bus to Prestatyn where we'll get the train back to Shrewsbury. However, if the group is feeling good, and everyone is up for it, we could continue walking to Prestatyn for the train.
If we stick with the initial plan, the walk will be about 14.7 miles, which includes the walk to the bus stop.
If we continue on to Prestatyn train station, the walk will be about 18.5 miles.
Terrain: Low-level, rural and industrial, with some road walking. Sandy beaches and dunes later.
Meet out front of the Shrewsbury Train station at 8:15am. We'll plan to get the 08:27am train to Flint. If you are coming from Telford you'll have to get the 07:58AM train, or if from Wellington the 08:06am train, both of which will stop in Shrewsbury where we'll join you. We'll arrive in Flint around 9:43 AM.
We'll arrive at Flint Station around 9:43 AM and start the walk from there.
We'll finish either in Talacre and take a bus to Prestatyn to get the train back to Shrewsbury, or if everyone's feeling good, we'll finish the walk in Prestatyn.
