Overview

Starting from the National Trust carpark, where there are cafe & toilets, we make our way to the viewpoint overlooking the Devils Punchbowl, from here the walk descends gradually through Hindhead Common stopping briefly to observe the Robertson Brothers Memorial before continuing on zig zag path reaching small stream at the bottom of the basin & then ascending to the viewpoint at Gibbet Hill where we shall have 'banana break' & see the Celtic  Cross &  panoramic views across the Punchbowl & towards Low Weald on the opposite side. We then follow a contoured path down towards Polecat Valley before making our way back to the carpark via Tyndalls Estate
