We are the City of Birmingham Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
WALK DESCRIPTION. About 8 miles on mainly firm tracks, with some field and road walking. In the morning we circuit Earlswood Lakes south, to Terry's Pool and then on around the perimeter of Clowes Wood, before returning on the north side of the lakes. After lunch at the pub, the walk heads north to the Stratford-upon-Avon canal and takes the towpath to Ilshaw Heath, then field paths and minor roads back to the pub. Morning about 4.5 miles, afternoon 3.5 miles.

Our Wednesday walks include a lunchtime pub stop. Requirements for meals from the pub menu are usually requested and ordered before the start of the walk by the leader. Walkers who prefer to take a picnic lunch are welcome to do so and the leader will have a place designated for this somewhere near the pub, in the village, or in the area where we are stopping for lunch.
