A superb walk in "Last of the Summer Wine" country with a mix of wide views and woodland/riverside paths. Some road walking on quiet lanes, mostly on field paths and rocky tracks.
Hiking boots or stout walking shoes essential and poles recommended if you have them. Although graded moderate, there is one short very steep ascent, one equally steep short descent, several woodland/riverside sections which are rocky, muddy and slippery underfoot and 17 fairly easy stone stiles.
There will be a woodland coffee stop, an early lunch at the Carding Shed (picnic tables, refreshments, toilets and a small, free museum of motor vehicles) and a short stop at the Butchers Arms pub in Hepworth which featured in LOTSW before the final section across hay meadows back to the start.
