Overview

Beautiful scenery throughout, we initially head through King's Wood to emerge above Wentworth village with quite glorious views in all directions, before continuing through the Woodhouse estate. Heading uphill towards a lunch stop at the Fitzwilliam mausoleum, the trail then continues to Nether and Upper Haugh where refreshments can be taken on the picnic benches outside the Marquis Arms. We continue the trail on Street Lane towards Hoober Stand, but return to Elsecar not via Needle’s Eye, but by retracing the morning route above Wentworth where the landscape is majestic.

Dogs must be on short fixed leads throughout.
