Overview

A circular walk from Chingford on an undulating route, first to Pole Hill for extensive views over the Lea valley before heading into the heart of the forest, to reach High Beach for a lunch stop (bring a picnic). Return will be past the Iron Age Loughton Camp, Connaught Water, and the 16th century Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge. Refreshments available at Chingford.
