Walk north up the Firmounth Road path. Then by estate tracks to Newton, Netherton and through forestry to Little Tulloch. Climb up through a wood to heather covered moorland. On a fine day great views north to Loch Kinord and Muir of Dinnet. Then through trees to the Burn of Boonie. Follow estate roads down to the Water of Tanar and back to the car park.
Walking mostly on estate roads and forest paths, which can be quite muddy in places. There is one section off path through trees.
