Overview

This is a gentle walk around the Hambleton peninsula, in Rutland Water. The walk is on undulating paths, with views over the water, with the opportunity to see birds and farm animals (goats, sheep, cows). It is a longish drive so NOTE the slightly later start.

Because we should finish the walk by 2pm, we are planning to have one 1/2 hour refreshment break at around midday (no facilities). The Finch's Arms is a lovely eatery but you will need to book if you fancy a meal at the end!

Meet outside the Finch's Arms but please do NOT park in the pub's CP. There is roadside parking down in the village - please walk up to the starting point.

The grid reference/post code takes you to the start of the walk, from outside The Finch's Arms. However, please do not park at the pub but use roadside in the village and walk back up. Beware double yellow restrictions!
