Overview

This is a circular walk starting from Matlock that takes in High Tor, the Giddy Edge traverse, a short section of the High Peak trail, Cromford and the Heights of Abraham. The walk has some steep climbs but these are rewarded with some great views.

The route includes the Giddy Edge traverse, and there is a one way system in operation. The giddy edge traverse has a lot of exposure but there is an alternate route that avoids this. There are toilets and tea rooms en-route.

The start is at the P&D car park at Artists Corner, off the A6, in Matlock Bath. There are 149 car park places available but it is a popular car park.
