A Linear walk from Haworth to Hebden Bridge, walking along the Bronte Way, Pennine Way together with other well marked footpaths. The majority of this walk will be along moorland although it will feature a woodland/riverside section. There is also a short section walking along the road where we will need to be careful. The walk features several points of interest including Top Withens for any Bronte enthusiasts! We'll stop at the Pack Horse Inn and Gibsons Mill en route for refreshments/toilet stops. Although we'll stop at the pub, please bring a packup for lunch on the moors. As some of the paths could be muddy, walking boots are recommended. We'll walk at an average pace but will need to be mindful of the time for getting to Hebden Bridge. Although this walk is generally pretty flat, there are a number of steep ascents. At the end of the walk we'll need to get the Bronte Bus (B3) back to Haworth. It takes about 30 minutes.
We'll meet in the Bronte Parsonage Museum car park as it has toilets that open at 10AM. We'll therefore wait for people to use the facilities before we set off. Although this is the meeting point, you may wish to park elsewhere as the parking charge is £1.50 per hour.
Sorry no dogs allowed as we will be passing through a field with animals in.
