Overview

This is a circular walk through farm and woodland along the Robin Hood Way, and then following the Linby trail along mainly surfaced tracks through Newstead Abbey.  Along the route we will visit the Byron family tombs at Newstead Abbey and Papplewick Church which is associated with the Robin Hood legend.

Meet at the Hucknall Tram Stop platform. For anyone travelling by tram: the Hucknall tram stop is the final destination for the tram (travel time on Sundays: just over 1 hour from Toton Lane Park and Ride, about 50 minutes from Beeston Centre). For anyone travelling by car: only those using the tram straight after purchasing their ticket will be allowed to use any of the tram park-and-ride facilities (for instance at Toton Lane Park and Ride). Alternative Pay and Display car parks are available in Hucknall: Piggins Croft (NG15 7BT) - up to 12 hours £4. 20 High Street (NG157HD) - up to 12 hours £1.50
