An undulating walk with three steepish uphills and less steep downs. No stiles. The views are impressive. We head out of the valley and up a lane with interesting olde houses and then up into the woods. We skirt around 3 sides of Piper Corner School and then head into Gomm woods and emerge in Cryers Hill. We carefully cross the busy and fast road and take a path now on the other side of the valley, which offers up some fantastic views across the valley. We emerge near Hughenden and cross the busy road via a convenient island, and head up to the church, where we will have our early lunch on some well placed benches. After lunch we skirt through the grounds of Hughenden Manor towards Naphill. A short stretch along the lane and main road we head back to our start point. The café is open until 3pm on Sunday and we can stop for tea and cakes after the walk. They have some good old fashioned large cakes etc as well as ice creams, cream teas and hot food. They also sell lots of lovely local produce you may like to have a look at.
Please indicate at the start of the walk if you wish to stay for tea as I will need to pop in and reserve some tables.
Well behaved dogs are allowed. On lead in nature reserve area.
