Moderate walk on mainly firm ground with only 170M of ascent.
We start along the Ridgeway path and turn down to Keens Lane to watch and wave to the 10.30am departure GWR Steam Locomotive No 1369 hauling 'kids for a quid', then follow along the parallel footpath to Lower Wainhill.
At Hempton Wainhill we take the Midshires Way to Bledlow.
We tackle a particularly snug kissing gate embedded in a tree, cross the railway and take paths to the B4009 which we cross to the dead-end village of Pitch Green.
Right onto the very popular Phoenix Way, toward Princes Risborough, until after we take the bridge back over the B4009 and walk to Horsenden. At the church, we change direction, back to Bledlow by different paths.
We stop at The Lions of Bledlow, where we will eat our packed lunch outside and we have opportunity to purchase drinks.
After lunch we revert slightly to take a path out of the village along gently rolling hills with good views.
We turn again onto the Icknield Way back to The Ridgeway and along it, returning to our starting point.
Well behaved dogs are allowed.
