Based in the Scottish Borders, Eildon Ramblers is a friendlywalking group for people of all ages. We offer year-round walks to suit avariety of tastes.
Start with 2 km of road walking steadily uphill. At Holden Coach House cross stile onto a track through a wood and continue following this path as it winds its way uphill and exits onto driveway at Hunthill. Pass between two stone gate posts topped with lions, cross a minor road onto a track over open ground then through a wood.
Cross the Jedburgh to Oxnam road, follow field edge uphill, along Sandy Road, and paths to reach Dere Street. After a short distance on Dere Street follow Borders Abbeys Way back to Jedburgh.

Paths and tracks can be muddy. There is one short section that is always muddy regardless of time of year. Boots and walking poles recommended.
Circular walk, grade C+, leisurely. Hiking boots and poles are recommended.
