Weekly walks all year round, highly regarded footpath maintenance work and a great way to make new friends – three good reasons to join Hexham Ramblers!
Starting at Slaggyford station, we join the Pennine Way heading north to Merry Knowe before following old drove roads to The Hill. We head south from there into Knarsdale and Kirkhaugh before returning to Slaggyford via Barhaugh Park. The route has some sections of rough pasture and numerous stiles, but on a clear day you will be rewarded with splendid views.

Park and meet in Slaggyford station car park (on the South Tynedale railway). Car sharing recommended.
