Overview

The initial part of the walk starts in Llanymynech village and  follows the tow path along  the Montgomery Canal for a short distance , exiting the tow path at the boat turnaround point, in order to access the heritage site. The walk then follows the Welsh incline up to the viewpoint on on Llanymynech Rocks where there will be a short break to take in the views. The path then continues clockwise around the rocks before passing through the gate which then  descends down towards Llanyblodwel. The route then joins Offa's Dyke, heading up  towards Jacob's ladder and Crickheath Hill.  The final part of the route heads towards Pant and back along the  tow path returning to the starting point.

There are a small number of stiles along the route. The route passes through fields and woodland with a number of inclines where walking sticks would be beneficial.

The final recce will adjust the route as required with updates added here. Please check this webpage for any updates.

Walkers are advised to  bring food and drinks as there will  a coffee and a lunch break over the course of the walk.
