Overview

*This walk is part of the Lulworth Getaway which is fully booked*

Walk lead by Paul and Gloria.

Medium paced walk from Knoll Beach, visiting Fort Henry and Old Harry's Rocks, then climbing up over Ballard Down, and descending into Swanage (5.5 miles).

After a short break at Swanage we continue on a circular walk to Durlston Head (4.2 miles), visiting Peveril Point, Durlston Castle, the Great Globe and Anvil Point Lighthouse, stopping at the Seventh Wave Café for a late lunch. 

The X50 Bus from Swanage bus station, along Studland Bay, will take us back to our cars at Knoll Beach.

Note: car park closes at 17:00, so please make sure you catch the bus in good time.

Walk from Knoll Beach to Swanage has one hill to climb followed by a long descent into Swanage.

Swanage to Durlston Head has a number of ascents and descents along the coast path.

Walking poles and sturdy boots are advisable.
