A linear walk from Moses Gate to Radcliffe. The walk takes in Moses Gate Country Park, Farnworth Cemetery, Nob End, Prestolee, Ringley, Giants Seat, Outwood and Radcliffe.
Accessible by public transport (train to Moses Gate) but there is also car parking at Moses Gate. However the walk is linear so drivers would need to return there by the best route they can - there are several options for them to peel off en route and do that, if they can mapread a shorter route back.
Toilets and refreshments are available at the Horseshoe in Ringley - an excellent pub that I've sampled twice on recces and would recommend. However using that option would imply a longer lunch stop than usual. I would expect to arrive at the pub ca 12.30, and depending how quick lunch service is, the end of the walk is likely to be 2.30-3pm.
Two ascents, not long or challenging, one descent that is no problem unless the weather is icy, a couple of stiles.
