On this walk we pass Mouse Castle, a Motte-and-Bailey earthwork, which lies in woodland near to Hay. We will also visit Cusop, where the infamous Hay poisoner resided. The walk will utilise a large stretch of the Wye Valley walk and then quiet lanes and field paths before linking up with Offa’s Dyke Path for our return to Hay on Wye, where there are numerous opportunities for refreshment.
Pre-booking requested. Please message walk leader, Lew Lewis (07881 700698).
There are 6 stiles on the walk. Ground conditions in Mouse Castle wood are very muddy.
