B WALK DESCRIPTION: 10 miles. Circular walk starting from Bullo, about 2 miles south of Newnham. The walk starts by ascending gently through the pleasant grounds of Oaklands Park, to meet a quiet narrow lane leading to the hamlet of Two Bridges. We continue northward to Soudley Ponds, where the morning break will be taken. Walking further along the attractive Soudley Valley, we reach Littledean for lunch. There is an open space for picnics, and a pub. In the afternoon, we proceed to Dean Hill, and pass the viewpoint known to local people as 'Pleasant Stile'. The stile has now been replaced by a gate, but the outlook remains pleasing. Descending to Newnham, a public open space known as The Green, on the site of a medieval castle, provides a good place for the afternoon break. The final leg of the walk follows the Severn Way back to the start point.
