Rail Strike - Alternate walk added accessible by tube
We are the West London Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The walk starts in the pastoral scenery of Pangbourne, crosses into Oxfordshire and heads east along the Thames Valley to the old village of Mapledurham. From here the walk goes up through woods and pastures, offering spectacular views, to the village of Whitchurch Hill, returning via Whitchurch to Pangbourne. Bring a picnic lunch. Pubs and cafés available in Pangbourne at the end of the walk.
Trains: either (1) Elizabeth Line to Reading (Paddington 9.17, Ealing Broadway 9.26) and change for the 10.24 train to Pangbourne or (2) 9.38 GWR train from Paddington direct to Pangbourne.
Pangbourne Railway Station - meet outside.
