This is a joint coach trip with Slough U3A to Visit Petworth House and Parkland. The house contains many fine paintings, 8 by JMW Turner plus many more collected by the 3rd Earl of Egremont. The coach is £15-20 depending on numbers. Capability Brown's Parkland Walk
An optional 4-mile walk (2hour) through the 700acres of parkland sculpted by Lancelot "Capability" Brown, with breathtaking views over the park to distant hills towards the South Downs. The route is grassy paths with some ascents and descents. It may be muddy in wet weather.
Meet in the free Upton Court car park, Upton Court Road at 8:45 to board the coach which will leave at 9am. The journey time is approximately one hour 15 minutes and there are toilets at the visitor centre in the coach park. The return journey home will leave Petworth at 4pm.
