Overview

A walk up Crimp Hill into Windsor Great Park via the Bears Rail Gate and the deer park to the Long Walk and up to the Copper Horse where there are tremendous views across to Windsor and the edge of London on a fine day. We continue past Ox Pond to the Savill Building (toilets and refreshments) before returning through the deer park and back to Old Windsor. Optional pub lunch in The Fox and Castle in Old Windsor at the end of the walk.

Meet in the free car park at Old Windsor Recreation Ground, Robin Willis Way, off St Luke's Road, Old Windsor. Turn left into Robin Willis Way just after Silcress Hair Design on St Luke's Road. If travelling on public transport the number 8 bus from Slough or Windsor to Staines stops by the recreation ground on Straight Road.
