Overview

This section follows the north bank of the river all the way from Maidenhead Bridge to Windsor-Eton Bridge passing Bray Lock and Boveney Lock. Please bring a drink and packed lunch. There are no facilities on this section until we get into Windsor.

The walk starts on Maidenhead Bridge. If travelling by train catch the Elizabth line 09:43 from Langley, 09:47 from Slough, 09:50 from Burnham to arrive at Taplow station at 09:53. Buy a single ticket to Taplow. It is half a mile to walk from Taplow Station to Maidenhead bridge along the A4. There are 2 buses that also stop near Maidenhead Bridge number 6 from Slough and 53 which travels from Bracknell to Wexham Park Hospital.

The walk finishes at Eton-Windsor Bridge where there are a few alternative ways of getting home either by train from Windsor & Eton Central Station or buses 2, 8, 702 and 703 back to Slough and Langley.
