Overview

The walk is along the Thames and the Kennet & Avon Canal. There are views of Reading Gaol (Oscar Wilde) and we pass the ruins of Reading Abbey. There are refreshments available in Reading Museum at the end of the walk.

Meet outside the main entrance to Reading Station. If travelling by train catch the 09:44 Elizabeth Line from Langley, 09:47 from Slough, 09:50 from Burnham, 09:53 from Taplow or 09:56 from Maidenhead to arrive in Reading at 10:10. Alternatively you could park in the Oracle car park (£8 for 4 hours)
