A WALK DESCRIPTION: Circular, 11.5 miles approx. 550m ascent, Picnic lunch. The A walk starts at Rowsley village (shopping Centre). We cross the A6 at traffic lights and go over the river then contour around the valley climbing steadily to a road. From where we climb steeply for a short while, eventually we reach Stanton moor. We cross over Stanton moor passing Nine ladies stone circle and the Cork stone. From Stanton Moor we drop down to Birchover and continue down to cross road and climb up to Robins Hood Stride. From here we drop back down to the road and heading round the side of Birchover and Stanton Moor we head back to Rowsley. Maps Explorer 24 (White Peak).
