As it is St. George's Day we're starting from The George Inn at Shalford, passing Shalford Church and Hall, some attractive thatched cottages, and including a stretch beside the River Pant. There are two stiles and some cross-field paths on this walk.
After the walk, Ramblers are invited to join the walk leader for (optional) lunch at The George Inn.
The George Inn, The Street, Shalford, CM7 5HH, Grid ref. TL722 292. Strictly diners only in pub car park. Non-diners please park considerately in side roads. If staying for lunch, please arrive in time to pre-order lunch in the car park (the pub will not be open until after we walk off).
