We are the Manchester and Salford Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Our walk starts from Stockport Station ticket office .
We walk through Stockport centre using side roads till we meet the River Mersey at the Co-op glass pyramid. We then follow the river bank to Fletcher Moss gardens and the Didsbury Parsonage ( didsburyparsonagetrust.org.uk ) then walk through Didsbury village to the Tram Station . This is a linear walk accessible by public transport ( bus or train/tram).
The walk is dog friendly and family friendly with no stiles. The path along the Mersey banks can be a little muddy after heavy rain
Refreshments are available at Fletcher Moss and there are many cafes and restaurants in Didsbury village.
