This Springtime walk should put a smile on our faces as we enjoy spring flowers such as cowslips and bluebells. On the walk we take in a panoramic view of Winchester and its impressive Cathedral before enjoying a walk through the Butterfly Association’s Nature Reserve of Magdalen Hill. Thereafter the walk is along lanes, through fields and in woodland. The route back to Winchester takes the general direction to the River Itchen, one of the most important chalk streams in the World.
This is a picnic walk. We will stop for elevenses and lunch, probably on the wayside so a sitting mat makes for comfort. Please bring your own refreshments including ample drinks.
Stout boots and plenty of layers for all conditions recommended.
The only toilets are at the CP at the start.
