Overview

Sutton Common and Minn-End-Lane - 12 miles (approx) - moderate.

This is a repeat of the walk which was cancelled on 7 Jan due to poor weather.

Meet at 9.30am at Teggsnose Reservoir CP, accessed by Holehouse Lane in Langley. Additional parking may be available in the parking bays on Clarke Lane by Bottoms Reservoir.

The route: Teggsnose Reservoir CP - Langley village - Ridge Hall Farm - Foxbank Farm - Hill of Rossenclowes - Croker Hill, Sutton Common and the Radio transmitter - Minn-End-Lane - Nettlebeds - Wood Cottage - Longgutter and Brown Hill - Withenshaw Lane - High Lee - Hanging Gate - Gritstone Trail - Clarke Lane - Teggsnose Reservoir CP.

Moderate ascents and descents with some steeper sections. Some muddy stretches. Please bring lunch and refreshments for the morning and afternoon stops.

Approx 2100ft of ascent (OS app), 12 miles/20kms, can offer a lift from Cheadle Hulme/Bramhall/Woodford area.
