We are the Stockport Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The walk now starts at the main car park of Turton and Entwistle reservoir and we head past the Strawbury Duck before passing Entwistle station, Wayoh Reservoir and Turton Bottoms. We then head for Turton tower and a toilet stop before climbing up onto Turton Heights, following the Witton Weavers Way. Our route then drops down to Dimple, through the Moss side plantation and a short stretch of the Blackburn Rd. Our return is a gentle stroll along the reservoir
The car park at the Turton and Entwistle reservoir. To reach it, drive past the turning for Turton Tower on the B6391, through Chapel town , cross the railway and access is on RHS just past Nabbs Farm. Free parking
