Walmer
Meet and park at Borrow Pitt car park, Kingsdown Road, Walmer, Deal. (Free parking and toilets).
This walk will visit the locations of the former Royal Marine barracks in Walmer and Deal. An input will be given on the history of the barracks and that of the Royal Marines presence in Deal. Then in true Royal Marine tradition we will be yomping to the locations that Royal Marines used for training at Coldblow, Freedown and Kingsdown before returning to the start point.
There will be a 20-minute stop en route for lunch.
