Overview

Moderate-paced hilly walk with fine views from Denbies Vineyard to Norbury Park via West Humble pausing at the beautiful wild garlic woods in Nicols Field on the banks of the River Mole.  At the end of April/early May the woodland floor is carpeted in stunning white wild garlic flowers dotted with bluebells.  The route snakes up to our leisurely coffee break at Wild About Coffee in Norbury Park.  We then head back via Fetcham Downs, Denshire Hill and Crabtree Lane.  There is the option to include a short loop through the bluebell woods at Denbies near the end of the walk.  NB: The route includes several gradual ascents and a few short steeper sections including 79 steps out of the garlic woods.  The Walk Leaders will leave plenty of time for people to walk at a comfortable pace uphill stopping where necessary to take a breath and enjoy the views.  No stiles.
