Overview

Let's explore some more stretches of the Arun valley, alongside the River Arun and the Wey and Arun canal between Billingshurst and Fittleworth. Although 9 miles, it is easy walking over meadows, with one lovely woodland stretch, and no significant hills. We will see this attractive lake, and follow part of the Sussex Diamond Way, passing Lording's Lock. The ground can be waterlogged in parts, but is dry as of April 2025.

We shall meet in Wisborough Green and then car share a short distance to our starting point. Bring mid morning snacks and hot drink, and picnic lunch.

There is a delightful cafe in Wisborough Green where you could pause for tea after the walk.
